About this Collection
The Bat1K Genome Notes Collection brings together short publications (Data Notes) that describe and document bat genomes sequenced as part of the Bat1K Consortium, an international collaborative effort to generate reference-quality genomes for all ~1500 living bat species.
Bat1K’s mission is to unlock the extraordinary biological diversity of bats by providing high-quality genomic resources to the global scientific community. Bats represent the second largest order of mammals and exhibit remarkable adaptations in longevity, immunity, echolocation, and flight.
Each Data Note provides essential information about species, sample collection, sequencing strategy, assembly metrics, and metadata associated with a given bat genome, ensuring transparency, reproducibility, and citability of the resource.
