Michael Davies

Michael Davies is a professor of building physics and the environment at UCL, IEDE and the PI of the CUSSH project. Michael’s research work focuses on understanding the complex relationship between the built environment and human well-being. Through a transdisciplinary research agenda, he currently leads a multi-skilled team which has sought innovation and stakeholder participation in responding to the world’s urban health challenges. Outcomes include the development of methods related to the modelling of health impacts and the application of system dynamics approaches for co-generating research aiming at healthy sustainable development of cities.

Ioanna Tsoulou
Ioanna Tsoulou is a research fellow in building physics and urban modeling at UCL, IEDE and scientific manager of the CUSSH project. Ioanna’s research explores interactions between humans and the built environment under environmental pressures, in particular overheating, energy demand and air pollution, with emphasis on passive adaptation strategies, aiming to understand how to improve conditions for vulnerable populations.
